Giving

Hickory Neck parishioners pledge to the General Fund which supports our annual operating budget.  Our annual operating budget allows us to provide weekly worship, education, fellowship, pastoral care, and outreach to our community on a weekly basis.  This weekly offering can only happen when we financially support the costs of administration, buildings and grounds maintenance, supplies, and salaries.  We at Hickory Neck Church support working toward tithing, so the annual budget can be fully funded, providing support for our growing, thriving congregation.

Ways of making Pledge Payments

By check:  In the offering plate or by mail.

Give Online:  We accept online payment for your pledge or other financial gift. We use the secure Realm service to process payments and streamline our accounting.

By Automatic Payments:  Arranged with your bank.

Gifts of Stock:  Donate appreciated securities or mutual funds held longer than one year and receive a tax deduction without paying capital gains tax.

Gifts from an IRA:  Those parishioners 70.5 years and better may make a Qualified Charitable Distribution directly from an IRA without paying taxes. The Distribution must come directly from your IRA custodian. Call Fred Boelt for more information.

Planned Giving:  We encourage all parishioners to remember Hickory Neck in your estate planning; ensuring Hickory Neck is here for generations to come.

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.   And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

2 Corinthians 9:7-8

In addition to supporting the general operating budget and ministries, there are other ways to contribute to Hickory Neck so that future generations can enjoy the blessing of our property and facilities.  Below are various funds that you can support.

Building Fund

A separate Building Fund was established in 1980 when plans were formalized to build the Parish House, now the Wilkinson Center.

Endowment/Covenant Funds

The Endowment/Covenant Funds are a way for people to contribute toward the long-term fiscal security of the Historic Chapel and Hickory Neck Church.

Historic Chapel Preservation Fund
